Update
Happy Games would first like to thank Philip at Amigaflame.com for the press coverage. We're also very happy to see poll results on the project! People have already voted and the poll results show that 22% of our visitors are already willing to purchase Dungeon Crawler on release. There is 77% that wish to see more before making that decision, and for them we have more material on the way.
Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master (as the initial welcome message explains) was the inspiration for Dungeon Crawler. We're big fans of these types of games! Like everyone else, we miss this style of game. It's been proven that 2D room-based dungeon games are back, and this was evident with the release of Elves & Orcs for Nintendo DS. E&O uses a 3D based dungeon mapping system with overlayed 2D sprites; it was developed by the legendary ID software (creator of Doom and Quake) and the game offers hours of dungeon exploring and monster slaying.
The premise behind Dungeon Crawler is very similar but will take place in 3 entirely different locations. Each location will have end bosses of enormous power and will require the right items, weapons, and armor gear to defeat them. Special items will drop from these creatures and they can be equipped at any time. At the start of the game you will be able to choose which location to explore first. While still in the early development stages, DC's locations have already been worked out (details coming soon). Happy Games will also launch the official storyline to DC on this development blog, so be sure to bookmark us!

Platform: Amiga, Nintendo DS
Description:
Like games of yore, Dungeon Crawler takes place in a dungeon environment very similar to Eye of the Beholder and Dungeon Master.
Unlock doors, avoid traps, kill pesky monsters, and build up your skills and levels! Collect gold along the way to purchase better gear to improve your skills in combat. Each dungeon level will have a boss creature that will relinquish items the player cannot purchase from a local merchant. Interact with characters based on the provided storyline and bring an end to the demonic powers that haunt this place. It’s time to polish off your shield and sharpen that sword; Dungeon Crawler is beckoning you!
